The Big Trip

A clumsy stork working for a baby delivery service mixes up two addresses, leaving a panda cub on the doorstep of a brown bear named Mic-Mic instead of with its parents. Mic-Mic prefers everything in order, so he decides to take the cub to its family in southern China himself. His restless neighbour Oscar the hare talks his way into coming along, and their journey through the wilderness brings them into contact with other animals, among them a boastful pelican, a timid wolf and a romantic tiger.

The Big Trip is an animated family adventure directed by Vasiliy Rovenskiy and Natalya Nilova, both of whom made their directing debuts with it. Rovenskiy, who also wrote the screenplay with Billy Frolick, went on to direct Magic Arch, Pinocchio: A True Story and further entries in this series, including Big Trip 2: Special Delivery and The Big Trip 3: Race Around the World; Nilova's later credits include Magic Arch. The voice cast includes Dmitri Nazarov as Mic-Mic, Maxim Galkin as Oscar, Filipp Kirkorov as Duke, Danila Medvedev as Janus and Mr. Panda, and Alex Sparrow as Amur.

The film was produced in Russia and the United States and took about 7 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.8 from roughly 1,600 votes, while on TMDB its rating is 6.8 from a much smaller number of votes.
