- The film begins with photographs of Errico Malatesta, an Italian anarcho-communist.
- Towards the end of the film, Martin Eden, played by Luca Marinelli, fights a man in a Harlequin costume, while he himself wears a Pulcinella mask. Pulcinella was one of the main characters in Pietro Marcello’s previous film, “The Beautiful and Lost” (2015), where the role was played by Sergio Vitolo.
