My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising

Class 1-A travels to Nabu Island for a work-study program meant to give the students real experience away from their teachers. The island is quiet and largely free of crime, so the assignment looks more like a holiday than hero duty. That changes when a group of villains arrives, led by a man named Nine who wields multiple Quirks and targets a local boy, Katsuma, and the healing ability his father possesses. Cut off from outside help, Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo and their classmates must organize a defence of the island themselves. Kenji Nagasaki directed the film, the third in the series of features he made after the 2016 My Hero Academia film and My Hero Academia: Two Heroes in 2018, and before All Might Rising and World Heroes' Mission in 2019 and 2021. Yosuke Kuroda wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Daiki Yamashita, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yoshio Inoue, Mio Imada, Yuka Terasaki and Tomoyo Kurosawa. It was released in Japan in December 2019 and has grossed about 30 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 7.8 from roughly 12,000 votes, and on TMDB 8.1 from just over 1,300. A critics' rating of 7.6 from 39 reviews places it close to the audience scores.
