Yakke Wali is a Pakistani romance and music film about a woman named Laali. To support her family, Laali works as a tanga driver. After facing hardships in her village that force her to leave, she travels to Lahore with only her horse and her determination. The story was inspired by a short piece titled License written by Saadat Hassan Manto.
Directed by M.J. Rana and produced by Bari Malik, the film was produced by Malik Talkies. It was released on April 22, 1957, with a total runtime of 146 minutes.
