What's left behind the scenes

  • The film's plot is inspired by the third volume of the original comics, titled "Diabolik's Arrest," and its remake, in which Diabolik attempts to steal the famous pink diamond and, in the process, meets Eva Kant, who is destined to become his partner and lover.
  • Claudia Jerini, who plays Signora Morel, previously appeared in one project related to this character – she played Eva Kant in the music video for "Impossible Love" by the Italian band Tiromancino. The music video was directed by Lamberto Bava, the son of Mario Bava, who directed the crime action film "Diabolik" in 1968. Furthermore, John Phillip Law, who played Diabolik himself in Bava Sr.'s film, made a brief cameo appearance in the music video.
  • Diabolik, played by Luca Marinelli, blinked only a few times throughout the entire film. The exception is the courtroom scene, where he uses blinks to send a message to his partner in Morse code.
  • The judge in the corresponding scene is played by Mario Gomboli, the author and editor-in-chief of the comics.
  • Claudia Gerini, who plays Signora Morel, previously appeared in a project about this character – she played Eva Kant in the music video for the song “Impossibile amore” by the Italian band Tiromancino. The video was directed by Lamberto Bava, son of Mario Bava, who directed the crime action film “Diabolik” in 1968. John Phillip Law also made a brief appearance in the video, having played Diabolik himself in the elder Bava’s film.
