Originally, the film was planned to star Sebastian Stan, John Cena, Nicolas Cage, and George Clooney, but they left the project due to busy schedules after filming was postponed from spring to fall 2020 due to COVID restrictions. It is unknown who was supposed to play whom, but director Steven Soderbergh once mentioned that Clooney was intended for the role eventually played by David Harbour.
