ReGOREgitated Sacrifice

Angela Aberdeen is a bulimic woman who works in pornography and self-harms, and on the day Kurt Cobain died she takes her own life by drowning. Twin demon figures known as the Black Angels of Hell accompany her as her mind moves toward brain death, opening onto a parallel dimension where her suicide and Cobain's occur at the same moment. The film follows her consciousness through that journey rather than telling a conventional story, presenting a series of visions of bodies, blood and degradation.

Lucifer Valentine wrote and directed the film, which followed his 2006 debut Slaughtered Vomit Dolls and was the second of the six features he has directed. Ameara Lavey plays Angela, with Jen Soska and Sylvia Soska as the two Black Angels, and Isabelle Styles, Amy Lee and Honey in supporting roles. Shot in Canada through Kingdom of Hell Productions, it runs sixty-six minutes.

On TMDB it holds a rating of 3.3 out of 10 from fifty votes, placing it among the more harshly rated horror titles of its period. It belongs to a loose series of films centered on the Angela character rather than a straightforward franchise.
