Vampire's Kiss

Peter Loew is a literary agent in New York who spends his nights moving from one affair to the next. After a bat gets into his apartment, he meets a woman named Rachel and becomes convinced she is a vampire who has bitten him. Whether the attack was real or a product of his imagination is left open. What follows is a breakdown in which Peter's habits and behavior grow increasingly strange, and his secretary, Alva Restrepo, bears the brunt of his erratic demands while he tries to reckon with what he believes is happening to him.

Robert Bierman directed the film from a screenplay by Joseph Minion, with Derek Gibson, John Daly and Barry Shils producing for Hemdale Film Corporation and Magellan Pictures. Nicolas Cage plays Peter, opposite María Conchita Alonso as Alva, Jennifer Beals as Rachel and Elizabeth Ashley as his therapist, Dr. Glaser. The production had a budget of 2 million dollars. It was released in June 1989 and runs 104 minutes.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 6.1 out of 10 from around 25,000 votes, and on TMDB 6 out of 10 from roughly 500 votes. A critics' rating of 6.2 out of 10 from 33 reviews places it close to the audience scores on both platforms. The credited cast numbers 46.
