The Cellar

Keira Woods has moved with her family into an old country house, and her daughter disappears in its cellar. As Keira searches for answers, she comes to believe that an ancient and powerful presence controls the house, and that confronting it is the only way to protect the souls of those she loves.

The Cellar is a horror and mystery film directed and written by Brendan Muldowney, his third feature after Love Eternal and Pilgrimage, and the producers are Conor Barry and Richard Bolger. Elisha Cuthbert plays Keira, with Eoin Macken as Brian, Dylan Fitzmaurice-Brady as Steven Woods, Tara Lee as Erica, Michael-David McKernan as Michael and Andrew Bennett as Detective Brophy. The production involved companies in Ireland, Belgium and the United States, and the film runs 94 minutes.

Released in March 2022, the film has a rating of 6.5 out of 10 on TMDB from 521 votes, a mixed but engaged response from viewers. Muldowney went on to direct One Last Deal in 2026.
