Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions

Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions is a concert documentary in which Taylor Swift performs every song from her 2020 album folklore, playing the record in sequence. Filmed at Long Pond Studio in upstate New York, the setting echoes the album's reflective mood. Swift is joined by her collaborators and co-producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, along with Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, marking the first time the group performed the material together in person after assembling the album remotely. Between performances, Swift and her collaborators discuss how the songs were written, what inspired them, and what it was like to build the record at a distance.

The film runs 106 minutes and was directed by Swift herself, her first time in that role. Bart Peters and Robert Allen produced alongside her for Taylor Swift Productions, Electric Light Studios and Big Branch Productions. Antonoff, Dessner and Vernon appear on screen as themselves, giving the project the feel of a small gathering rather than a staged concert.

Released in November 2020, the film drew strong responses from viewers, holding an 8.4 rating on IMDb from roughly 5,800 votes and an 8.5 on TMDB from a much smaller pool of around 178 votes. Both figures point to a warm reception, with the larger IMDb sample indicating the broader audience response. Swift later directed a second film, the 2025 release party special, following this one.
