I'm for the Hippopotamus

Set in Africa in 1950, this action comedy follows two cousins, Tom and Slim, who share a commitment to protecting nature. Tom runs a safari business where he secretly provides tourists with guns loaded with blanks to prevent actual hunting. The duo clashes with Jack Ormond, a local animal trafficker. After a mutual friend exposes Ormond's exploitation of wildlife in a newspaper, Ormond attempts to destroy the friend's clinic. Tom and Slim intervene, defeating the attackers in a fight. When bribery fails to silence them, Ormond has the cousins imprisoned for a crime they did not commit. Following their escape from jail, the two men pursue Ormond toward his ship to confront him and his associates.

The film was directed by Italo Zingarelli and written by Barbara Alberti, Amedeo Pagani, and Zingarelli.
