The Privilege

A wealthy teenager and his peers at an elite private school investigate a series of strange supernatural occurrences. The protagonist, Finn, is haunted by nightmares and traumatic memories following the death of his sister several years prior. While his family believes his fears are merely psychological reactions to past trauma, Finn and his friend Lena discover that the paranormal threats are real. Their investigation eventually reveals a sinister conspiracy operating within the school.

This German horror film was directed by Felix Fuchssteiner and Katharina Schöde, who previously collaborated on Sapphire Blue and Emerald Green. This production follows those titles in their joint filmography and precedes their 2025 project, Weihnachten im Olymp. The screenplay was written by Fuchssteiner, Schöde, and Sebastian Niemann. The cast features Max Schimmelpfennig as Finn Bergmann, alongside Lea van Acken, Tijan Marei, Milena Tscharntke, Lise Risom Olsen, and Roman Knizka.
