The Chalk Line

A couple discovers a young girl wandering alone on a road while returning from dinner. After realizing no one is searching for her, they decide to provide her with a temporary home, hoping the experience will also improve their own relationship. The child is plagued by a fear of a monster that will punish her if she steps outside a square drawn in chalk on the floor. As a bond forms between the girl and the wife, Paula, the latter begins investigating the child's mysterious origins and traumatic history.

The Spanish horror mystery was directed by Ignacio Tatay, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Isabel Peña. The film stars Elena Anaya as Paula, Pablo Molinero as Simón, and Eva Tennear as Clara.
