Butthole Surfers: The Hole Truth and Nothing Butt

This documentary chronicles the history of the Texas art-punk band formed by guitarist Paul Leary and frontman Gibby Haynes. The film explores the development and impact of the group's experimental musical style.

Directed by Tom Stern, this is the second feature film in his career following 1993's Freaked. Stern also co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Weinstein. The production was handled by The Hole Truth LLC and Alamo Drafthouse. The film features appearances by band members Gibby Haynes, Paul Leary, King Coffey, and Jeff Pinkus, alongside Teresa Taylor and Kathleen Lynch. A total of 41 credited cast members appear in the 106-minute production.
