- Filming was originally planned to take place in New Orleans, but Hurricane Katrina forced the filmmakers to change location.
- Julian McMahon starred in the series "Charmed," where, ironically, his character was in love with the witch Phoebe, who, like Julian McMahon's character's wife in "Premonition," also possessed the gift of foresight.
- This film is not a remake of the Japanese film of the same name.
- In the hospital scene where Sandra Bullock receives an injection, no stunt double was used. Sandra actually received a tetanus shot, as she had accidentally cut herself before the scene.
- Brigitte broke the glass on Tuesday, before the tragedy, but the first day depicted in the film is Thursday, and the girl's face has no scars.
- At the 40th minute of the film, the heroine receives an injection. An air bubble can be seen in the syringe.
