An Egyptian actor, born and raised in Port Said in 1916. After graduating from university, he moved to Cairo and worked as an employee in the Ministry of Agriculture in 1939. He began independent studies in cinema and theater arts in 1944. He joined the National Troupe and began acting in cinema in the 1940s.
