Izabel Grondin is one of the leading figures in Quebec's genre cinema, specializing in thrillers, psychological films and horror. Several of her short films have been shown around the world and have won numerous awards. She is credited with the very first DVD compilation of horror shorts in Quebec: Folie passagères : contes trash et sournois which will be followed in 2015 by: Folies passagères 2 : contes troubles et déviants. Her work has been the subject of several interviews and retrospectives. Her flagship short film La table made it to the semi-finals of the 2014 Jutra Awards race and garnered over 4 million views before her YouTube channel was forced to be taken down. She shares her passion for genre cinema and screenwriting in panels, conferences and masterclasses. Her first features films are at financing stage:
