Gabriel Motta is a Brazilian director whose horror short The Veil (2025) will premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival. His previous short Pastrana (2023), co-directed with Melissa Brogni, won major awards at Brasília and Gramado, was the only Brazilian film at Tribeca 2024, and earned international prizes at BAFICI and Mountainfilm Telluride. Earlier works include The Embrace (2022), screened at over 20 festivals worldwide, and Two Men by the Sea (2020), shown at Frameline, NewFest, and MixBrasil. He has also directed the TV mini-series Via Pública (2021) and Reforma Planetária (2025).
