Obsessed with the written word since a young age, Chiara Terzuolo started freelance journalism in 2011. Her work has been featured in The Japan Times, Lonely Planet, Atlas Obscura, inTouch, Jetsetter, All About, Japan Today and other travel and culture-related media. Over the past 10 years she has worked as a content marketer, editor and consultant, making Japan easier to explore for visitors and helping local businesses, governments and media improve their communications with this new market.

While she mainly focus on English-language media, she also work in Japanese and have been featured on NHK as an inbound travel specialist. She often speaks at events related to travel in Japan and the needs of visitors, most recently for the Ministry of Culture, the Australian Embassy and JTB (Japan's largest travel agency).
