Alberto Hernández (Spain, May 16, 2010) is a young director, actor and audiovisual creator associated with independent short filmmaking. From an early age, he has appeared as an actor in numerous productions directed by his brother, filmmaker Carlos Hernández, as part of a family creative environment in which its members alternate roles in front of and behind the camera.

He later began developing his own projects as a director, writer and performer, working with small crews and self-taught production methods. His work is characterised by an interest in unsettling atmospheres, symbolic imagery and stories built around visual and emotional concepts. Although much of his filmography approaches suspense, dark fantasy and atmospheric horror, he also experiments with comedy and stop-motion animation.

He began his work as a director with LIFE, followed by The Time, a short film exploring the subjective perception of time and identity. He later created Alberto Hernandez’s The Circus, a symbolic and stylised stop-motion animated short film.

In 2026, he directed and performed in El Deseo, a supernatural fantasy short film about a mysterious bell capable of reversing whatever is wished for. He also appears alongside Carlos Hernández in Miguel Myers: Halloween Villaverde, a fan-made short film inspired by the Halloween universe, scheduled for release on October 31, 2026.

At the same time, he is developing Azulín y Rojín: La caja, a stop-motion animated comedy that expands his exploration of different techniques and storytelling styles.

He currently continues to make independent short films and collaborate on productions directed by Carlos Hernández, combining acting, directing and visual creation in projects made with limited resources
