Puakuteu is a community organization working in the Indigenous community of Mashteuiatsh and carrying out projects for women and youth. The organization was created in 2012, following the mobilization of a group of women from the community who wanted to raise awareness and commemorate the history and legacy of Indian residential schools. To pay tribute to the survivors of Indian residential schools, their descendants and their families.
