His feature documentary You Don’t Know My Name will be broadcast on PBS in 2027 and has received support from Sundance, Firelight Media, The Marshall Project, and others. A double survivor of incarceration (born in prison and formerly incarcerated), Franklin creatively reimagines power structures, focusing on Black liberation.
