Alicia Robinson is a Montreal-based filmmaker with a love for dark fantasy, psychological thrillers, and the strange things that live in our dreams. Currently studying at Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, she’s set to graduate in 2026.

Her debut stop-motion short, Taken by the Storm, won Jury Prize from Plein(s) Écran(s) and earned her Best Director at the Concordia Film Festival, with screenings at Cinema du Parc and online. Alicia often finds inspiration in dreams, eerie encounters, and her favorite creative activity: people-watching with just enough subtlety to avoid suspicion. In addition to directing, she has worked as a director of photography and first Ac on various short films. She is currently conjuring up her next project, a fantasy horror short, and building towards her ultimate goal: directing a feature film that keeps people awake at night, in a good way.
