Gideon Baeza - Director, Director of Photography known for his work in such projectsAdvice for working with the Map of emotions: «Hope is Hip» (2026),
Baeza began his storytelling career at an early age, studying filmmaking at Maine Media Workshops + College in Midcoast Maine. He would later come to work as a teaching assistant at Maine Media for professors the likes of Micheal Goi and Roy H. Wagner. He completed his BA in Visual Arts at Emerson College, then moved to New York upon graduation to further pursue his passion for slice-of-life storytelling. While cutting his teeth in the industry working with numerous production agencies from LA to New York, Baeza worked hard to bring multiple personal projects to fruition across commercial, music, and narrative filmmaking. While still in post-production, his latest narrative short "Hope is Hip" (2025) received the first-place prize in separate filmmaking competitions hosted by Canon and Zeiss. "Hope Is Hip" recently had its US premiere in Baeza's hometown of Camden, Maine, and will continue its festival run in 2026 as production simultaneously begins on the feature-length version of the story.© ACMODASI, 2010-2026
