Iuliia "Julia" Pupysheva was born on July 23, 2007 in Kaluga, Russia. Pupysheva began acting as a child in youth musical theatre groups. She appeared in junior high and high-school productions through her early pre-teen and teenage years. At the age of eighteen, she joined the University of Alberta Film Society (UofAFS) to further pursue her interest in acting. There, she starred a prominent role as Sophia Mafia in their 2026 production "Sucker-Punch" and is now an executive, serving as the Social Media Manager for the 2026-27 school year. She aided several productions such as, "Lucky Shot," and "To Your Grave," with behind the scenes work, ranging from script supervisor, second camera assistant, production assistant, and set designer.
