Mikita Bialevich is a Belarusian writer and director based in Warsaw, Poland.

Born and raised in Bobruisk, Belarus, he discovered his love for cinema as a child after his mother bought the family’s first DVD player with money from a loan. Growing up in a modest apartment, film became both an escape and a way of understanding the world.

His work blends absurdity with psychological and philosophical themes, often exploring death, identity, and the hidden mechanisms of the human mind. Influenced by the films of Charlie Kaufman, David Lynch, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Robert Eggers, as well as the ideas of Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, and Carl Jung, he aims to create stories that are unsettling, thought-provoking, and emotionally honest.

Before directing narrative films, Bialevich worked in commercial filmmaking and music videos. His debut short film marks the beginning of his transition into independent cinema.
