Short description
Irene and Franklin York, a retired couple, have a secret: a Chamber buried in their backyard that miraculously leads to a strange, deserted planet. When an enigmatic young man arrives, the Yorks' quiet existence is upended and the mysterious Chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could have ever imagined.

What's left behind the scenes
- In collaboration with Amazon Web Services, SES, and Intelsat (a satellite communications operator), Amazon Prime Video used satellites for the first episode of the project that were technically incapable of broadcasting content back to Earth. Thus, Amazon Prime Video became the first streaming service to send content directly into outer space. According to a company representative, it was 'the greatest distance a television series has ever been intentionally sent'.
- J.K. Simmons learned that he would be starring alongside Sissy Spacek, after which he quickly reviewed the script and agreed to take part in the project.
- Some scenes from the 2nd and 3rd episodes were filmed in northwest Argentina, where Jesuit monks lived several centuries ago. The character played by Piotr Adamczyk repeats the words 'Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam'. Translated from Latin, they mean 'For the greater glory of God,' which is the motto of the Society of Jesus.
