What's left behind the scenes
- Two prop wolf cubs were created for the second season—a nightmare version and a normal one. The nightmare cub was a hand puppet with a mechanical belly, while the normal cub was a remote-controlled puppet.
- The opening credits for each episode are different and unlike the credits preceding any other episode.
- As soon as Mary, played by Isla Fisher, finds herself outside, the sound of dogs barking is invariably heard.
- An animatronic wolf head (and part of the back) was constructed for the first season of the series, which was also used in the second season. It was used in all close-up shots to show jaw movement, snarling, blinking, etc. Other versions of the wolf costume existed, including one with hind legs.
