When the studio decided to acquire the rights to the series, they had no idea that Jay and Silent Bob were drug dealers. Once this was discovered, the characters were immediately turned into sellers of fireworks and party poppers.
The aired episode was meant to be a parody of the first episode, which never actually aired. Consequently, the second episode turned out to be full of flashbacks and references to an episode that viewers never saw.
The sixth episode is titled 'The Very Last Episode,' however, the series was taken off the air after the first two had been shown.
It was originally intended that Leonardo would be voiced by Alan Rickman (1946-2016), but it ended up being Alec Baldwin. While Rickman was still considered, the show's creators wanted to make the character similar to Hans Gruber, whom Rickman played in the 1988 action film 'Die Hard' (John McTiernan). Rickman strongly protested this, and the idea was seemingly abandoned, only to be revisited once the voice acting for the character passed to Baldwin.
Ben Affleck was supposed to voice a supporting character who claimed to be the King of Canada. The series was cancelled before the storyline reached him.
In the beginning of the final episode, where Dante is shown naked but some anatomical details are hidden by a mosaic, the animators actually made him completely naked.
