What's left behind the scenes
- To keep pace with masters like Legacy Effects, ILM, and Lucasfilm, the series creator and director Jon Watts used motion capture technology, puppets, a special animation technique (which created the illusion of movement for static objects), and even a combination of painting and digital technologies.
- The title of each episode is a line spoken by one of the main characters.
- Nile's young relatives, played by Robert Timothy Smith, watch a holographic circus performance—the same one watched by Chewbacca's family in Steve Binder and David Akobah's failed television project, 'The Star Wars Holiday Special' (1978).
