What's left behind the scenes
- When the role of Preston was offered to Kurt Russell, he was immediately excited by the idea, but the planned filming schedule overlapped with his work on the second season of the series 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters' (2023-). The producers of 'Madison River' and Michelle Pfeiffer specifically wanted Russell to play Preston. The entire project was intended to consist of at least two seasons. Therefore, it was decided to film the first season without Russell, and a month later, begin filming the second season along with the missing scenes featuring Russell's character from the first season.
