What's left behind the scenes
- Simon's daughter (played by James Nesbitt) is occasionally shown in a wheelchair. The actress playing the role (Ellie Henry) has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (a group of hereditary connective tissue disorders characterized by joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, and vessel fragility). Periodically she walks on her own, and at other times she uses a wheelchair.
- Nothing is explicitly stated about Henry's fate. Only in one scene is there a mention of what happened to the illegitimate children: one was shot during a robbery, another committed suicide, another went missing (possibly escaped), and one was stabbed. It seems that Henry was the one who escaped and went missing.
