What's left behind the scenes

  • Due to his filming schedule for 'Cold Case,' Matthew Goode was unable to return to his role as Henry in Simon Curtis's drama 'Downton Abbey 3' (2025). Furthermore, he was offered the role of Henry after being sent a description of only one scene in which the character appeared, leaving him completely in the dark regarding the overall plot of the drama and the fate of his character.
  • When Chloe Pirrie's character lists the names of criminals she has dealt with in the past, she mentions Dean McLean and Kenny Flockhard. In reality, these are members of the series' production crew: the former was in charge of transport overall, and the latter was a staff driver.
  • The folders of unsolved cases feature a police emblem—the Scottish flag with an X-shaped cross, upon which, according to legend, Saint Andrew the First-Called, the patron saint of Scotland, was crucified. A similar emblem can be seen in the cult series 'The X-Files' (1993-2018) starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.
  • The series repeatedly claims that a person can experience hyperoxia, implying the effects of increased carbon dioxide levels, whereas in reality, hyperoxia is oxygen toxicity caused by an excess of oxygen in the human body's tissues.
