What's left behind the scenes
- Inspector Leach, played by Matthew Rhys, combines the traits and characteristics of three characters from Agatha Christie's original novel (Big Ben, 1944) – Inspector James Leach, Superintendent Battle, and Angus McQuirter.
- Filming took place, in part, on Burgh Island. The filming location is associated with Agatha Christie (who is mentioned in the credits as one of the screenwriters), who visited it many times. Other cinematic projects based on Christie's works were also filmed on Burgh Island, including the mini-series Miss Marple: Nemesis (1987) and one of the episodes of the Poirot series (1989-2013).
