Short description
The distant future. Earthlings help less developed civilizations overcome difficult stages of evolution. Anton, an employee of the Institute of History, goes to the medieval Arkanar to rescue scientists who can advance evolution. He will become Don Rumata of Estor, a wealthy aristocrat and lover of fights, booze and women. The main rule of progressors is not to interfere directly with the natural course of history, pointwise saving a few enlighteners from death. But Anton has a personal interest that he hid from the institute: somewhere in Arkanar, his father went missing.

What's left behind the scenes
- Filming took place in Iran as well as Moscow (at the Moskino film park). During the preparation stage, locations in Russia, Croatia, and Montenegro were considered, and later Morocco. Due to the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran, the film crew had to be urgently evacuated on the night of June 14, 2025.
- Project development began in February 2022. Initially, the series was planned as part of the Ivi service's original projects; however, by the time filming was announced in May 2025, it became known that the production was being made for Wink and NTV.
- The creators of the series consulted with specialists to flesh out the details of the universe and create a plausible world. Astrophysicists helped develop a stable solar system in which the planet Arkanar is a satellite of an ice giant. Religious scholars helped develop rituals and ceremonies based on celestial phenomena. Futurists were then brought in to design the space station with its unique gravity system and technologies. Botanists helped create the planet's flora and explain its appearance through environmental factors.
- During filming in Iran, sets that had been built for the movie "Muhammad: The Messenger of God" were used.
- Unique sets were constructed on the grounds of the Moskino film park, covering an area of 6.5 hectares. These included the Condor's palace with a functioning pool, an aqueduct, dozens of various structures, a large sculpture of a "Warrior on a Puma," and a 1,200-square-meter water zone for underwater filming.
- The inspiration for the Arcanar costumes and jewelry came from the ancient civilizations of Egypt and African peoples. A team of 90 people worked on the costumes, creating over 1,000 sets using specially treated fabrics that reflect life in conditions of desert and drought.
- According to artist Maria Antonchik, she drew inspiration from the culture of the Persian Achaemenid dynasty while working on the image of Don Kuba.
- According to screenwriter Andrey Zolotarev, after completing work on the first season, many crew members got tattoos dedicated to the series.
- Casting for the series lasted a year and a half.
- According to Sergey Bezrukov, who played Don Condor, he was initially offered a different role, but he declined.
- Aleksandar Radojičić learned fencing and horseback riding for the first time for his role in the series.
