What's left behind the scenes
- Molly Shannon agreed to play Stacey without even reading the script. Will Ferrell, who played Lonnie Hawkins, called her to ask if she wanted to act in it, and Shannon said 'Yes' without hesitation.
- One of the project's partners was the PGA TOUR (the professional men's golf tournament series). This greatly helped the filmmakers achieve a level of realism that is often lacking in sports comedies.
