Short description
After inheriting a hotel from her late brother, a single mom moves in with his good-natured ghost — and high-maintenance guests who will never check out.

What's left behind the scenes
- The license plate of the car Katherine drives reads "ECTO2". A car with the same number appeared in Ivan Reitman's sci-fi comedy Ghostbusters (1984).
- The surname of the main characters' family is Freeling (though it is rarely mentioned). The main characters' family in Tobe Hooper's horror film "Poltergeist" (1982) shared the same surname.
- The creature in the forest in the second episode is the monster from David Bruckner's horror film "The Ritual" (2017).
- In one of the episodes, the protagonists escape from students controlled by monsters. The teacher appearing on screen looks exactly like Donald Sutherland, who once starred in Philip Kaufman's horror film 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' (1978).
- In one scene, Esther and Nathan see half of a fisherman on the lakeshore. The fisherman is Robert Shaw, who played Quint in Steven Spielberg's horror film 'Jaws' (1975). Quint did not survive his encounter with the shark.
