• In the second episode, the black-and-white science fiction film 'A Trip to Mars' (Holger-Madsen, 1918) is shown on monitors in a nightclub. As with the series 'Ghostbusters', the film was produced by Nordisk Film, one of the oldest operating studios in the world, founded in 1906.
• Many scenes were filmed exactly where the series' plot takes place. In particular, the filmmakers were allowed to shoot inside the 1st Police Precinct, which had already been closed by the time of filming. Two weeks later, workers arrived there to begin preparing the building for demolition. Scenes in the old hotel where one of the characters works were filmed on location at the 'Turist Hotel' in Copenhagen's red-light district. The hotel, which had been used by human traffickers, had been sold by the time of filming and was slated for a complete renovation.
• Mustakasa was played by Anders Rekalos, a retired police officer and technical advisor for the entire project.
• The series' title is a reference to a 1925 bronze statue by sculptor and artist Einar Utzon-Frank (1888-1955), a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. It is installed in front of the entrance to the Copenhagen Police headquarters. The nearly 4-meter-high statue is shown in the opening credits. The sculpture personifies the struggle between good and evil.
