What's left behind the scenes
- When the dinosaur falls into the crevice, one can hear the so-called "Wilhelm scream" (a sound effect frequently used in film and television when a character falls from a great height, during an explosion, or when someone is hit by an arrow).
- This documentary miniseries is a spin-off of the 2023 project 'Life on Our Planet.' Furthermore, it uses some of the footage and prehistoric animal models seen by viewers in 'Life on Our Planet.' However, there are certain changes: the 3D model of the Edmontosaurus was remade, and some errors in the Tyrannosaurus model from 'Life on Our Planet' were corrected (for example, the number of teeth was reduced).
- In the section dedicated to the Triassic period (251.9–201.3 million years ago), when the Moon is shown, the Tycho crater is missing from its lower part, as it appeared later—only in the Early Cretaceous period (145–100 million years ago).
- The names of many animals on screen are not voiced. They can only be identified through the comments of scientific consultants and additional materials provided by Netflix.
