What's left behind the scenes
- The character of Misha—a friend of Degget and Norbert—is based on a real person, the American R&B singer Barry White.
- Stacy and Chelsea, the sisters of Norbert and Doug, were voiced by Stacy and Chelsea, the daughters of the series creator Mitch Schauer.
- The idea for the animated series 'The Angry Beavers' was inspired by Mitch Schauer's childhood years, when he was homeless in Oklahoma and often saw beavers in a nearby river. Additionally, he was significantly influenced by the animated series 'The Pink Panther Show' (1993-1996), 'The Flintstones' (1960-1966), and 'The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show' (1960-1963).
- Doug and Norbert's telephone is modeled after Bullwinkle from the 1960s animated series.
- Nick Bakai and Richard Steven Horvitz worked in the studio simultaneously, which is somewhat unusual, as voice actors typically prefer to record their parts individually.
