What's left behind the scenes
- The working title of the series was 'Department 8, Alpha People.' Its concept was developed back in 2006, but it was only put into production three years later.
- In the 12th episode of season 2, the character played by Summer Glau is asked if the tracking device is a 'terminator.' This is a reference to the television series 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' (2008-2009), in which the actress starred.
