What's left behind the scenes
- One of the few science fiction series that shows Vancouver, where the series is set and where it was filmed.
- Initially, screenwriter and producer Simon Barry wrote a script with a male protagonist named Kyle. The protagonist Kira was given the surname Cameron in honor of director James Cameron.
- Actor Victor Webster, who played the role of Carlos, practiced mixed martial arts (MMA) three times a week and attended MMA competitions.
- Given that the series' plot revolves around time travel, the titles of all episodes relate to time travel. The word "time" appears in the titles of all first-season episodes. The titles of second-season episodes contain the word "second." In English, the word "second" also refers to a unit of time. The titles of all third-season episodes contain the word "minute." The titles of the final season's episodes feature the word "hour." The final episode of the last season is titled "The Last Hour."
