What's left behind the scenes
- Black Bolt uses sign language to communicate. Initially, the show's creators intended to make the character a telepath, but they discarded this idea, believing that the use of sign language would add an air of mystery and would also appeal to deaf and mute viewers.
- Ken Leung, who plays Karnak, played the mutant Quill in Brett Ratner's superhero action film 'X-Men: The Last Stand.' In both cases, the characters he portrayed have tattoos on their faces.
- The episode titles are borrowed from the titles of the Inhumans comics.
- Filming took place in the Hawaiian Islands.
