Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- The credits mention Jennie Livingston, director of the film 'Paris Is Burning' (1990). This is a critically acclaimed work about the voguing/ball culture in New York (the name is derived from a dance style based on model poses and catwalk walks, characterized by fast arm movements, flamboyant mannered walking, dips, spins, and frequent posing), which is also discussed in the series.
- The series with the largest number of transgender actresses.
- The series director, Ryan Murphy, is openly gay. According to him, he was prompted to create the project by memories of his own youth, when he found it difficult to imagine a happy future with a family and the possibility of societal acceptance of his orientation.
