What's left behind the scenes
- Woody Harrelson plays E. Howard Hunt in the series. There is a certain connection between the Hunt and Harrelson families. In the final years of his life, rumors circulated about Hunt's involvement in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. After Hunt's death, two of his sons claimed that on his deathbed, he allegedly confessed to participating in the president's murder (although Hunt's widow and other children believed the sons simply took advantage of Hunt's weakened state before death, as he was no longer clear-headed about what he was saying). Woody Harrelson is the son of Charles Harrelson, a contract killer who worked for criminal organizations. He once loudly claimed that he was the one who shot Kennedy, although he later periodically confirmed this statement and then claimed it was merely a ploy in the hope of getting a reduced sentence for the murder of a federal judge. Charles Harrelson died in prison in 2007.
