Only Rebels Win

Set in Beirut during a period of intense societal crisis, this drama follows the relationship between Suzanne and Osmane. Suzanne is a widow of Palestinian descent, while Osmane is a young undocumented migrant from Sudan. Despite a significant age difference and the surrounding chaos of the city, the two form a romantic bond and attempt to maintain their connection against social opposition.

The film was written and directed by Danielle Arbid, following her 2021 project Simple Passion. The cast features Hiam Abbass in the role of Suzanne and Mahamat Amine Benrachid as Osmane, alongside Cynthia El Khazen, Anas Khalaf, Charbel Kamel, and Shaden Fakih. Produced by a collaboration of companies from Qatar, Cyprus, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and France, including Sunnyland Film and Easy Riders Films, the movie has a runtime of 98 minutes.
