Set in La Paz, Bolivia, this drama follows Martín, a thirteen-year-old orphan who works as a shoeshine boy on the streets. Driven by a lifelong desire to find his father, Martín begins to suspect that one of his regular clients, a solitary tailor named Mr. Novoa, might be his parent. To create a bond with the man, who shares a deep emotional connection with his German shepherd, Astor, the boy decides to steal the dog and later help the tailor recover the animal.
Directed and written by Vinko Tomičić, the film features Franklin Aro as Martín and Alfredo Castro as Mr. Novoa, with Teresa Ruiz appearing as Srta. Andrea. This production was a collaboration between companies from Bolivia, Italy, Mexico, France, Chile, and Ecuador.
The film has a runtime of 90 minutes. Since its release, it has maintained a positive reception from viewers, holding a rating of 7.2/10 on IMDb based on 160 votes.
