Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist

After millions of people disappear without explanation and the world slides into disorder, a charismatic figure, Nicolae Carpathia, takes charge of the United Nations and presents himself as the answer to the crisis. His real intentions, however, are far darker than his public image suggests. The story follows Rayford "Ray" Steele as he navigates the upheaval and the growing influence of this new leader, whose rise carries consequences for everyone left behind.

The film is directed by Kevin Sorbo, his third feature after Let There Be Light (2017) and Miracle in East Texas (2020), from a screenplay by Paul Lalonde, John Patus and Jessica Parker. Sorbo also stars as Rayford Steele, alongside Neal McDonough as Jonathan Stonogal, Corbin Bernsen as Steve Plank, Bailey Chase as Nicolae Carpathia, Sarah Fisher as Chloe and Sam Sorbo as Amanda, with 27 credited cast members in total. It is a Canadian production from 101 Films International, Stonagal Pictures, Amcomri Entertainment and Cloud Ten Pictures, and runs 115 minutes across the action, fantasy, science fiction and thriller genres.

Released on 26 January 2023, the film had a budget of 10 million US dollars and took about 4 million US dollars worldwide, a return well below its cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 10 from roughly 2,600 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 4.7 out of 10 from 33 votes.
