R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned

Set in the American West in 1876, this film follows Sheriff Roy Pulsipher, who is killed during a confrontation with a gang of criminals. After arriving in the afterlife, he is recruited into a spectral police force known as the R.I.P.D. While Roy initially seeks to solve his own murder, he is tasked with a larger mission upon returning to Earth. Alongside a partner named Jeanne, he must stop a dangerous demon from opening a portal to hell in the town of Red Creek to prevent an apocalypse from consuming humanity.

The movie was directed by Paul Leyden, who previously directed Chick Fight in 2020. Leyden also co-wrote the screenplay with Andrew Klein. The cast is led by Jeffrey Donovan as Roy Pulsipher and Penelope Mitchell as Jeanne, supported by Jake Choi, Richard Brake, Kerry Knuppe, and Rachel Adedeji. Produced by Dark Horse Entertainment and Universal 1440 Entertainment, this action-comedy serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2013 film R.I.P.D.
