Short description

Ivy and Bean are close friends who decide to take ballet classes. Their initial excitement fades when they realize the activity requires strict discipline and lacks the imaginative action they expected. Despite their desire to quit, they decide to support one another as they face the prospect of performing in a recital before a large audience.

This family comedy was directed by Elissa Down, following her 2020 film Feel the Beat and preceding Ivy + Bean: The Ghost That Had to Go, also released in 2022. The screenplay was written by Jeff Stockwell and Kathy Waugh, with Anne Brogan and Melanie Stokes serving as producers. The production was handled by the United States company Firelily. The lead roles are played by Keslee Blalock as Ivy and Madison Skye Validum as Bean, supported by a cast that includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Lidya Jewett, Garfield Wilson, and Marci T. House, along with 21 other credited performers.

The film has a runtime of 57 minutes. Audience reception has been moderately positive, with a rating of 6/10 based on 238 votes on IMDb and a slightly higher score of 6.5/10 from 13 votes on TMDB.
